The Sleeping Tree artwork depicts a veritable dreamscape in which elements of the real world are viewed through a fantastical filter. We see the eponymous tree, which appears to be standing alone in a wide field. “Apparently”, because the viewer of this mural can vaguely see the outlines of other trees and bushes that stand around the main character. It's as if they were ghosts, or pale memories of the tree. The focus is clearly at the center of the work. Here the blurred effect seems to disappear and we see more details of our tree. At no time, however, do we seem to be in the real world. The ground has a strong orange-red color and forms a strong contrast to the emerald green sky. Against this background we also see the energy emanating from the tree.
